peanut butter & chocolate balls
Something you might not know about weetbix, is that you can use them to make a whole lot of different snacks like muffins, banana bread AND bliss balls! Every Sunday I whip up some kind of snack for my partner and I to enjoy during the week and bliss balls are a go to! This recipe is loaded with lots of seeds and nuts to keep your teen feeling satisfied, and is also a great source of fibre and carbohydrates to keep their energy levels up too! Hope you love these!
recipe (makes 20)
ingredients
5 weetbix
10 medjool dates, pitted
½ cup peanut butter
¼ cup sunflower seeds
¼ cup chia seeds
2 tbsp cacao
1/3 cup water
1 cup shredded coconut
method
1. In a food processor, blitz together the weetbix, medjool dates, peanut butter, sunflower seeds, chia seeds, cacao, and water.
2. Pour the shredded coconut into a shallow bowl.
3. Use your hands to roll the mixture into little balls (approx. 1 tbsp) and then coat them in the coconut and pop them on a plate. Repeat until there is no mixture left.
4. Put the plate full of bliss balls into the fridge to set for 1 hour and then store in an airtight container.
